Spacious yet intimate, The Lowry Hotel Manchester prides itself on being a home away from home and offers a tranquil, luxurious environment that is a sanctuary away from the daily stresses of life.
With an emphasis on ensuring that they continue to offer an exceptional experience for all their guests, The Lowry Hotel needed a Managed Service Provider to design and install a Mitel Voice Platform that would allow seamless communications for both guests and staff. To achieve this, removal of The Lowry’s old Mitel SX2000 telephone system was required and replaced with a new Mitel 3300 MXe IP solution.
Once we were approached by the IT Director for the parent company and had completed a site survey, work on the up-dated telecommunications network into the hotel began.
Working closely with the hotel’s requirements we successfully integrated the Mitel 3300 MXe phone system onto the current network infrastructure and installed new Vtech SIP cordless phones into each guest room, whilst working closely with The Lowry staff to ensure minimum disruption.
As the project was nearing completion, new Mitel “Connected Guest” Call Management and Guest Voice Mail systems were interfaced with the Hotel’s Property Management System. In addition, a number of “MiCollab” VoWiFi Samsung Smartphones were issued to key staff. By installing a Bluesky Fire Alarm integration solution to allow Fire Alarm pre-alerts to be routed to all Samsung Smartphones, all duty managers and key staff can react rapidly to any Fire Alarms without the need for carrying pagers and / or Walkie Talkies.
Finally, as part of our continued working partnership between ourselves and the Lowry, we offered to remove and take away the outdated, obsolete equipment that was replaced and gave £300 for them to donate to a charity of their choice.
